Full terms and conditions for Cakes Sussex are detailed below. By paying your non-refundable booking fee it will be deemed that the terms and conditions are understood and accepted as applying to your order.

PRICES

All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your exact design and the sizes of your cakes. Following your consultation, your quote will be valid for up to 1 month. Paying your booking fee will secure this price and the slot in the diary.


BOOKING FEE

A non-refundable £250 booking fee of the Wedding Cake/£500 booking fee of the Wedding Dessert table or Vintage Wedding Afternoon Tea is required in order to secure the commission of your cake/catering. If your booking fee is not paid within 1 month of quoting you, we reserve the right to cancel any previous arrangements. The final payment has to be made one full month prior to your wedding.


PAYMENT

Payment can be made by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card. If you would like to pay by bank transfer, the name of the business is CAKES SUSSEX and the bank is METRO Sort Code: 23-05-80 Account Number: 3072382. Can you please email me with confirmation of your bank transfer to info@cakessussex.com in order to prompt acknowledgement of your payment. Full payment has to be made 1 month before  the wedding.



CANCELLATION

If cancellation of an order takes place, we reserve the right to retain your non-refundable booking fee. If cancellation takes place 8 weeks before the wedding then we reserve the right to retain 100% of the full payment. If you wish to change the date of your order, we will try our best to accommodate. However, if we are not available ourselves we will treat it as a cancellation from our part. In the case of very unusual circumstances such as ill health or accident, you will receive a full refund of your cake.

DESIGN CONDITIONS

Each cake is bespoke and individually handcrafted and we will try our best to follow your wishes. However, there might be some slight alterations to the design to suit your style of cake. We also reserve the right to change the design at any point of circumstances beyond our control if we feel it might compromise the quality of the finished cake due to hot weather. The same would apply to a cake covered in chocolate.
If you are having fresh flowers on your cake, please check with us or your florist that they are ok to use and prepared appropriately as some of the flowers are poisonous and should not be used. We cannot be held responsible for your florist's arrangements should they be damaged. We will deliver as late as possible so that they all fresh for the day..
